Polly A. Callant, Association President

Dr. Terry L. Freed D.P.M. , Board Member

Mrs. LeAnne Lebsack, Program Fiscal assistant, Idaho Liaison

 July 11, 2009

Dr. McKay has resigned from HPSD and the Association in order to pursue her own needs and interests.  Dr. McKay is an Equine Veterinarian and has a deep love of and interest in horses.  After giving us a generous time of almost three years, she found that it was time for her to place her energy and other resources back in to those areas, and to move on in her own life.

I, Polly Callant, President of the Association, will miss having Dr. Deb to issue her level headed advice in our discussions and miss having her input and enthusiasm involved in the program.  Dr. McKay accepted this position originally as a short term commitment, and more than gave of herself in that regard.  She came in at the infancy of this program and helped us to stay grounded and in a position so that we could continue to offer assistance to those who needed information or actual help with getting a service dog trained for themselves.  Dr. McKay and her husband, Bruce McKay, both contributed to the HPSD program and their generous assistance has been a blessing for the program.  It is time for Dr. McKay to move on, and although our friendship will continue, I will miss having her in on the decision making needs of this association.   "Thank you Deb McKay for your extended stay on the board, your generous gifting of your personal resources and especially all of the emotional efforts you spent while helping me on this project.  "
